Beautiful, one-of-a-kind roundhouse. This octagonal space is perfect for groups – it seats up to 10 people in a circle and provides a lovely, cosy learning space. Equally, it could serve as a living space, as it is wired with 3 side lights and 2 double plug sockets. It also has a switch for an outside light with sensor.
The roof is insulated the wood-burner is the legendary ‘Hobbit’ stove from Salamander, and has been serviced annually (I have the safety certificate from last year’s inspection, at which point the chimney was swept too). There is safety backing behind the stove and the surround is natural stone. The structure is in great condition, with a double door at the front and large windows on each side. Gutters and drain pipes are in place. The flooring is solid wood – as is the rest of the structure – and the high ceiling has a beautiful shape and gives a great sense of spaciousness.
.The exterior wood has been treated regularly and the whole building was painted again last Summer. There is a pale cream carpet which is included if you would like – it’s got marks and signs of use, but it’s looking pretty good. Alternatively the floor underneath is fine without carpet (the carpet is lightly fixed so easily removed).

From around May 25th we can offer a full, fixed-price service for dismantling, transport, reconstruction and repair package for £1,400 within an hour or so of Stroud. Repairs will include: installation of new base, floor repairs as needed after dismantling, door repair (currently warped at bottom on one side), any gaps or holes that need re-plugging, and any damage done during dismantling or transit.
Please note – the person who will be doing this job is a real perfectionist so rest-assured, you will be delighted with the finished result! We would recommend taking us up on the offer of dismantling, as the building has been very firmly attached to a concrete base so we’d rather make sure we’re responsible for any repairs afterwards. However, if you’re confident doing it yourself, you’re welcome to deal with any part of the work without paying us extra for the service – in this case, the roundhouse is available now. Based in Stroud – message if you would like further details or to view (can do a video call if you’re further afield or if preferable given restrictions).
Let us know if you’d like to buy any cushions or rugs. They are from Morocco (except for the Ikea cushion inserts!) and were bought about 2 years ago so haven’t been used much.
